I have a soft spot for the Smurfs and, really, this film is a pretty well-made picture. It doesn't dive into anything deep and is very obviously aimed at children and families, but the contagiously joyful spirit of the Smurfs shines through and makes the film surprisingly entertaining. Loved the brief shoutout to Peyo, also.
