Structurally, and writing-wise, it isn't my favorite Allen film, as it gets a little too conventional & cliched at times. Michael Caine really elevates the material with a genial and convincing performance and the film does feature quite a few quirky and funny moments. Not as touching as Annie Hall or Manhattan, but still strong.
