This is one of the best crime films - stylish and moving from start to finish. The protagonist is a gruff and businesslike seasoned criminal who gives the film weight and urgency. The heist scene is twenty minutes of tense excitement and the resulting backstabbing and intrigue plays like an early Godfather.
