An Affleck Clinic

Casey Affleck can carry a film, as we've seen with his past Oscar nomination, and his subtle wit works well as the eyes for the audience. Everyone in this plays a small town stereo-type to a tee, and Alba and Hudson never over-step their bounds as interchangeable victims of abuse and murder.
The film boils to a blended, boiling head as our narrator announces which people he has allowed to have lines. You'll either be chuckling or gawking before his twisted, confused focus drags the you into a blazing furnace! Regardless, this is solely a showcase for Affleck's skills and it's an interesting clinic to watch, though there's not much else to enjoy.
