This has been on my Netflix for quite some time but I kept pushing it back because movies that I was more interested in kept being released. After hearing all the hype about it, I finally decided to watch it. I must admit that I had semi-high expectations. I was expecting a realistic, street-smart thriller, but instead I got a thriller mixed with science fiction. Although I went along for the ride, overall I felt like there was something missing. The stakes weren't that high and the supposed thrilling scenes weren't as thrilling as it should have been due to their wrong timing and delivery. I felt like the filmmakers had a good concept to work with but botched up the screenplay. I think if this film had been on the hands of a more capable director, this could've been more engaging.
