Frustratingly slow. There were some really sad moments here, specifically when Adam Sandler finally opens up in the psychiatrist's office. Otherwise, for a story about a 9/11 victim, it's extremely lowkey to the point where I got kind of bored hearing the characters speak because they rarely say anything profound. With a little bit more focus and cutting this film a good twenty to thirty minutes, it would have been pretty good. By the time the conclusion presents itself, I hardly cared because I couldn't wait for the melancholy to end. There is one good thing about this movie: I am now convinced that Adam Sandler can carry on dramatic roles. Now that he's getting older, it would be interesting if he decides to immerse himself with serious dramatic films rather than raunchy, shallow comedies.
