Wind Chill

An effective, atmospheric thriller that gave me the chills--literally and figuratively. I thought the two actors were brilliant. For a horror movie, it's strange to have characters that talk a lot, specifically about philosophy. I guess that's what I like most about it: it tried to do something different. Each scene is important because you never know when the filmmakers are trying to foreshadow or merely trying to establish the fact that the characters are smart, or both. What I liked best about this movie is that nature becomes a character. The blizzard gets more powerful as the gravity of the situation increases. Sure, the ending was kind of weird in a typical horror movie kind of way but everything was outstanding except the last fifteen minutes. Although most people might not get it, I did because I paid attention to the dialogue earlier in the film. It would do you good to do the same if you plan on watching this little gem.
