Final Destination 2

A bloodier, bolder, more imaginative sequel. Out of the three that's been released, I think this is the strongest one because it manages to relate to the first one quite a few times. Not to mention the return of Ali Larter was quite a delight because she wasn't the weak and meek character we got to know in the first installment. I dislike films that have too many yet unnecessary twists and turns but I think the "Final Destination" franchise thrives on that. In the last twenty minutes, I was at the edge of my seat because somehow I managed to care for the characters, which is highly unlikely in most horror films. There are a plethora of highlights in this movie, especially the freeway carnage. The first time I saw that scene, I was covered in blankets and completely shaken. This film's sinister magic will remain in me for a long time.
