Grindhouse: Planet Terror

The definition of a B-movie. If one wants gore, one will find it here. If one wants to watch a film with an apocalyptic feel to it, one can find it here. If one wants to have non-stereotypical characters and a captivating zombie film along the lines of "Shaun of the Dead" or "28 Days Later," unfortunately one will not find it here. I'm starting to be thoroughly convinced that Rose McGowan can't act. Upon watching her, I realized that she acts the same here, like she's still in the show "Charmed." In films like this, I don't consider believability or common sense as a big factor. What I look for is how the story progresses. Unfortunately, it was not strong in that category either. This being half of the "Grindhouse" experience, I very much prefer "Death Proof" for its strong script and delayed but very, very worth-the-wait action sequences. And for a zombie film fan, I was really disappointed by "Planet Terror."
