Lovin' the Cold Tone

Jodie Foster is always electric in her roles. She doesn't appear in many movies but when she does get onboard, she gives it her all and I give her my highest kudos for that. It was fun watching her act crazy when she was running around, yelling at everyone, trying to look for her daughter in a gargantuan plane. In a way, it reminded me of films back in the day that focus on conspiracy and paranoia. It was nice to see those elements in modern cinema. Jodie Foster always plays a strong woman in her films and I think it was wise to cast her here. If the character had initially been a weak-willed, typical damsel-in-distress and "evolved" into a strong woman by the end of the picture, I would've rolled my eyes and completely dismissed it. In this movie, a person is simply put into a situation, her limits were tested, and the audiences are asked to observe or maybe even question if she, in fact, is delusional or otherwise.
