Who Is Henry Jaglom?

Does this film answer the question "Who is Henry Jaglom?" Yes and no. There's an interview format where actors, fans and non-fans talk about Jaglom, his directing style, his moods, his talent. Like his films, people seem to have very strong opinions one way or the other. They either love him or hate him - there's no middle ground. Even he's trying to figure that one out. I find it interesting that he enjoys the negative responses as well as the positive ones. Most people want to shoot themselves after a bad review but Jaglom embraces them and even reprints them or uses them in future films. I think that's really healthy.
Jaglom is an auteur with a unique style that results in unique films. There are clips of him interspersed throughout this film where you get to see him talk about his process - not technically, but philosophically. It's enlightening, interesting and it made me want to see and know more about him. I learned that he's also a painter and novelist. Where are those paintings and books? I want to see them and read them.
I appreciate Jaglom's non-Hollywood way of dealing with female characters and women's issues. I've learned some valuable stuff about women from watching Jaglom's films.

Who is Henry Jaglom? Review comment
I'd like to see a complete biopic on Jaglom. I can't imagine what it must have been like for he and his brother to grow up together. I want to know what Jaglom was like as a teenage boy and how he got into filmmaking. I want to know his thought process as he builds a film in the editing room. I loved Who Is Henry Jaglom. I heard him give a talk at Rocket Video a few years ago. Interesting guy. Glad he's making movies.
