Blood Sex + Humor

Blood Car is a movie that drew my attention based on it's name and very simple premise. In an attempt to create an engine that runs on an alternative source of fuel, Archie discovers one that runs on human blood. It is a low budget film but a neat concept and something that is definitely worth checking out for fans of B movies.
The film definitely has a unique style that at times works really well and yet at other times it actually distracts from the film. The soundtrack is worth noting as there is a lot of classical music used throughout the film which is something uncommon in Horror films. It is however rather reminiscent of A Clockwork Orange in a sense as the score contradicts the mood and feeling of what is actually being shown on screen. Of course this film comes nowhere close to the story telling quality present in Clockwork Orange. The film does manage to make the viewer very uneasy at times as it follows Archie's descent into a life of chaos. The somewhat poor acting aside the conclusion of the film really is disturbing.
For fans of B movies this is definitely a must. Blood, Sex, a mix of both intentional and unintentional humor and you really can't go to wrong. The dialogue and acting aren't the greatest but i wouldn't expect much more from a movie such as this. It's a neat concept and plays out rather nicely. It's an enjoyable watch but it will certainly toy with you as there are certainly very disturbing aspects to this film.
