Polansky own personal vision of the Holocaust is obviously unique. The story of the pianist is sad, and yet encouring. Actually, what story from a Holocaust, is not a lesson of human strength and fight against totalitarism, racism and alienation? All of the are. So, Brody here takes very, very personal the issue, and portrays with all the needed emotion this character. This movie is perfect. It contains maybe the best end titles ever. A must see.
