Maybe my most personal option in all my favorite/best lists of choices for movies. If you can catch it, you wont find a fast paced action, nor ultraviolent nor sexual, nor dirty language movie... I warning you because you might compare some of the other Kitano's stuff with this one, but it has nothing spectacular, actually.
Of course it has a great script, an (at the beginning) very nice script/plot idea and a nice acting. The music is specially great and the long shots taken by Kitano. I'd say that is a great movie if you want to see something different from him, or from the usual stuff.
