I do not care for romance all that much, so the comedy. Well its not that funny. Its quite obvious that Jimmy Stewart won a make up Oscar for this movie since he did not get one for Mr. smith goes to Washington. This is really obvious since Stewart himself thought so. I watched the musical high society and that was really terrible this is a better but not by much. Hepburn is pretty good, as is Grant, but the comedy of the film never worked well enough for me.
Oscar Win Jimmy Stewart 3/5- Stewart won his Oscar for his by far least impressive performance that was nominated. Although he is still good as Stewart always is, and he is really in top form of his aw shucks type of character. He is better in this than similar performances of this type by him but it is nothing compared to his other ones like Anatomy of a Murder, Harvey, and it's a wonderful Life.
