A different and darker western.

A vastly different western than usually seen from the director or the actors. It has a dark streak that makes it different and makes it memorable. I really liked this one because unlike many westerns it does not fail due to a poor villain this one has Liberty Valance played well by Lee Marvin. It also deals well with the ideas of public image versus reality, and the politics involved.
