Great gangster film with Cagney

Angels with Dirty faces is an excellent gangster movie starring James Cagney who is perfect as the gangster. Part of it is the standard rise and fall of a gangster story which involves Humphrey Bogart playing a very pathetic character. That part is fairly standard but the original part and the best part of it is Cagney's interactions with the local boys and his own boyhood friend who is know a priest played by Pat O'Brien. That sections of the film works perfectly and ends better than you could expect. The other part of it alone elevates the whole film into greatness.
Best Actor nominee James Cagney 5/5- Cagney is superb as Rocky in this film. He is great in every scene and is great in every way that is possible. He first of all plays the gangster part perfectly putting in humor and anger perfectly and how he plays the scenes with the gangster, friend and the boys all work. The reason he completely should have won over Spencer Tracy in Boys Town is because of the very last scene he is in.
