Lovely bones does not focus.

The lovely bones fails to find what it wants to do precisely in the film. It has many scenes of many characters interacting but it focuses only a little bit of time on each, and fails to do anything well unfortunately. TI has bizarre tonal shifts that go from different emotions too unevenly. I wanted to like the film and the thriller scenes are well done but that's ending fails too. The fantasy scenes are never fully fleshed out either, nothing works quite right. I did like it to a degree but it fails in too many way to recommend.
