A Great film.

An incredibly powerful film, and an incredibly interesting film. Something that is so fascinating about this film is the man it follows is not a very good man, in fact a pretty bad man, played brilliantly by Giancarlo Giannini. The film follows him from his days as a small time hood protecting his sister's honor, at least his honor anyways. It is a fascinating film throughout. It contains rather graphic imagery especially in scenes involving a concentration camp and its warden. But despite all the evil it shows in the film it somehow shows a certain love of life amazingly at the same time.
