Stage, Star, Smile

I would agree that this is relatively minor Woody Allen, but it's very enjoyable and has a great feel for the lower reaches of showbiz. Woody plays a struggling agent whose often pitiful clients rely on him to shepherd them through their efforts to make it big (or even just to move up a rung on the ladder). His key advice: the three "S's"--Stage / Star / Smile!
It's got comedians swapping stories, mobsters after the hapless agent, and a dolled-up Mia Farrow who's hard to recognize.
