An appetizing brew of both fact and fallacy, Oliver Stone's 'JFK' is a landmark amongst paranoid political conspiracy thrillers. Clearly channeling Costa-Gavras' 'Z' in both editing and structure, the film is more a testament to the great subjective power of filmmaking and its potential to instill great catharsis within the individual viewer than it is a sincere exposé of the American government. However, that shouldn't matter, because when it comes to history, you really shouldn't be getting your facts from films.
Note: Director's Cut recommended over original theatrical release.
