This film is a tad bit better than I remember it being all those years ago when I was but a 15-year-old dipping my toes into an expansive lake of suspense cinema, but it's still a crass remake of a sophisticated and urbane classic that thinks of a video of two teenagers kissing would hit trending on YouTube. David Morse's Tartarean renovations do help make the third act the best kind of crass, admittedly.
