Not bad, not great, but somehow it works.

Not my cup of tea humour wise, though it does have it's share of funny moments. In particular a crazy drug trip, and a car chase with a clever lack of explosions. 21 Jump street succeeds thanks to the charming leads Channing Tatum (who keeps getting better as he goes along) and a surprisingly tolerant Jonah Hill. It's there chemistry together and the way they play off each other that really makes the film work. However, once it goes into full on action mode it begins to lose steam. Regardless, it's still entertaining enough, and yes Depp makes a hilarious cameo and nearly steals the show.
