Ugh

The only moments when 'My Amityville Horror' is worth watching is when its insufferable subject isn't on the screen. Unfortunately, Daniel Lutz IS the main subject of this documentary, and after ten minutes it's punishing to watch this bitter, combative, lying, child in a man's body go on and on about his horrible father and the 'supernatural' goings on that he experiences in the infamous house on 112 Ocean Ave. If anyone was on the fence about this haunting being true or not, this documentary doesn't give any clear answers, but it's quite obvious from the fact that none of the other siblings partook in this film (probably because they decided to grow the f*&k up and move on with their lives, and probably because they want nothing to do with their pitiful brother) and that the stories he tells are so redundant of everything we've heard before. He obviously just needed a check and allowed a film crew to interview him. The film makers did the best they could, but I feel sorry for the time they wasted on this unbearable human being. Also, when confronted with a lie detector test, his reaction is quite telling if anything he's been saying has any truth to it. Skip this one at all costs, unless you are self-masochistic and enjoy listening to someone who makes you want to blow your head off.
