A movie for the patient viewer

A movie that is only appreciated through repeated viewings. While my initial impressions may have been very average, my subsequent viewings revealed layers missed the first time though. The humor is similar to other Wes Anderson works, so it takes a few time though to catch all of it. Bill Murray delivers one of his finer performances alongside similar fantastic performances from Angelica Huston and Owen Wilson. The ensemble cast each plays a role in adding something to the film, whether it be the Portuguese renditions of David Bowie classics from Seu Jorge, the bizarre antics of Willem Defoe, or the confused Cate Blanchett. Now having seen the movie upwards of 10 times, it still improves with each viewing, making its mark with me as a classic.
