The only reason I couldn't bring myself to give this 4 stars was because Amy Adams' part was so lame. The movie could have been one of the best I had ever seen had it not involved those parts whatsoever. It would be brilliant to have an entire two hours of stunning Meryl Streep as Julia at the time she was living in France with her absolutely precious husband, Paul. They were such a romantic couple! This Julie person did a very smart and brave thing to cook through a French cook book, and it is a lovely story and you can look past Amy Adams (right at that cute guy that plays her husband) and enjoy this movie for the well done history of it.
