Back to the Future review

There are certain films where categorization plays a part. Back to the Future is not one of those films. Doctor Emmett Brown was radiantly represented by Christopher Lloyd. The slacker teenager Marty McFly is acted by Michael J. Fox. The 2 main characters work effectively well and the effects are impressive at that era. The story is very unique and one of the most intricate topics can be difficult to put on film, time. Can this be a fantasy? Yes Groundhog Day and Donnie Darko were great, but it didn’t have one of the coolest cars invented for film, the time travelling Delorean. It has its comedic moments, especially from Doc: There's that word again, "heavy". Why are things so heavy in the future? Is there a problem with the earth's gravitational pull? Would this be an adventure perhaps, since Marty had to travel to 1955 to fix your parents and to make everything normal again? So many elements coupled with a solid supporting cast and impressive script.
No matter the volume of repeat viewings, I cannot find a single blemish from this timeless film. The themes, story and dialogue of the film is thought provoking. One of the many quotes: Mr. Strickland - "You don't have a chance: you're too much like your old man. No McFly ever amounted to anything in the history of Hill Valley." Marty McFly - "Yeah, well, history is gonna change." The enjoyable picture symbolizes change in general. The power to change in order to save Marty’s family, his life, and himself is something that we can learn from. The importance of family is present, after witnessing his dad give Biff a massive punch, he whispers, “go dad.” Certain aspects of the uplifting film like the innocence of Marty, the bullying of Biff, the constant rambling of Doc and the effects when the Delorean travels, will always be memorable today and certainly in the future.
