Had bits of good character development for Wolverine, Magneto, and Rogue, yet wanting more from the rest. If only First class and this first film combined, it could have been perfect. Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart brings their realistic acting prowess here. The special effects, direction and set pieces were stunning. I felt that X-Men 2 and First Class had the best story, though the screenplay here was not bad. The action was present and themes of acceptance and individuality was present. X-Men was a good beginning to a franchise enjoyed by people who are comic lovers or just fans of sci-fi.
