Charlize Theron really made this believable because of her acting abilities. The plot was easy to follow, antagonist was decent and the humor was somewhat present though inappropriate such as the screaming guy whose precious car was crushed. Amazing how Joe even survived a fall from a huge ferris wheel. It also had a few action scenes worth watching. I enjoyed some of the score and gorgeous locations in the mountains. The waterfalls shown was just scenic. Good mix of drama and heart, Mighty Joe Young is a film where you can view because of your curiosity that it maybe as good as King Kong, yet your expectations will be left at that. Nice for animal lovers though and people whose occupation is related to wild animals.
