The Terror review
Daniel Corleone - wrote on 12/08/11
You have a man speaking softly as if whispering to Andre Duvalier (Jack Nicholson) a French soldier saved by Helene (Sandra Knight). The screenplay and dialogues were so scripted. Not even Francis Ford Coppola could rescue this dramatic horror, which unfortunately lacks on both accounts. So many dragging scenes, unrealistic effects while the score tries to make it scary. Fight sequences were at times laughable. Its only positive aspects were the set location, costumes and cinematography. Its main premise is revenge for a murdered son and lies. The Terror is a boring flick which could have been better and the only thing worth seeing is how a young Nicholson perform in a supposedly horror film.
