A prime example of a promising premise with bad screenplay and decent acting. Ray becomes a freelance hit-man. He answers an ad of May Munro and eventually falls for her. One of many ludicrous scenes were the room being blown off, the set-up of Ned and many more. The dialogue was cheesy, acting from the lead bland and story just fades due to the action and some psychic-like specialist. The Specialist is a dated action film with an all too good superficial hitman.
