I recall viewing this film with Louis Gosset Jr. as an effective Sgt. and Gere was solid as well. Nothing noteworthy or special about this flick. If only the female parts were more interesting. As most of the reviews before this, An Officer and a Gentleman is a decent romantic movie that is watchable.
