Cocoon review

Viewing this again brings back memories. A group of senior friends, Ben, Arthur and Joe, swim in a pool with huge cocoon’s make them vigorous. Bernie and Rose is an old couple. Joe’s medical miracle occurs while Jack (Steve Guttenberg) becomes close with Kitty and discovers the identity of Walter. The three old men witness the transformation of the Antareans. A few note-worthy quotes - “Doctor’s don’t know everything,” “Age isn’t everything,” “This is my home,” and “Smile.” It had symbolism's of experiencing grief, cooperation, friendship, love, forgiveness, trust, memories and the beauty of Mother Nature. The Star Wars reference of “may the force be with you” and Close encounters of the third kind like ship were obvious. One if the most hilarious and applicable scores for a film. It brought out the drama as well. Cocoon had humor and drama, if only it were original in terms of the premise.
