Through a Glass Darkly review
Daniel Corleone - wrote on 03/19/12
Karin (Harriet Andersson) suffers from schizophrenia while her husband Martin (Max von Sydow) loves her. David (Gunnar Björnstrand) is a novelist and his son Minus (Lars Passgård) writes plays. Soundtrack was monotonous and snail paced story doesn’t help either. Harriet Andersson was spectacular in her performance though the screenplay could have been more interesting. A quote that stood out for this critic: Minus – “Anything can happen.” Through a Glass Darkly is a drama that touches on themes of love, faith, fantasy, reality and passions.
