The Tourist review
Daniel Corleone - wrote on 06/29/12
Elise (Angelina Jolie) strikes a conversation with Frank (Johnny Depp) on a train. Alexander Pearce, who owes £744 million in back taxes, writes notes to Elise for directions on what to do next. Unlikeable characters, poor on-screen chemistry by the leads, a very dull pace in storytelling and the conclusion tried to hard to impress the viewers. It was amazing how the clues from a burned letter were deciphered, jumping more than 10ft high barefoot without having any sort of injury, and how a piece from a boat came-off while dragging Frank. Soundtrack most of the time distracted the dialogues, which was irritating at times. The lush wardrobe, gorgeous scenery and somewhat action was albeit fulfilling. Not even the star power of Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp can save this film.
