Paddy Button (Leo McKern) survives a shipwreck. Richard and Emmeline discovers a deserted island.. Both become close and try to escape the island. Sometimes uneven storytelling with some non-nonchalant soundtrack. Location and some of the drama was good. Unlike Paradise where the male is inept with the acting, here Shilelds was disappointing. The Blue Lagoon is nothing extravagant or not that boring, one just has to follow the story since it was well directed.
