This felt like a documentary than a movie. Colin Clark (Eddie Redmayne) persistently tries to get a job on Laurence Olivier's (Kenneth Branagh) next picture. Marilyn Monroe (Michelle Williams). Colin's first task is to locate a place for Marilyn and her husband, Arthur Miller (Dougray Scott). Performances of Branagh, Watson, Dench and especially Williams were spectacular. Only gripes this critic had were the lack of an interesting lead character, sufficient impact on he plot and a few dull scenes to ensure the love angle for Clark and Monroe was provided. Physically, Williams doesn't match the real Marilyn Monroe, but makes-up through her mimicking and vocal prowess. Costumes, music and prop sets were good to show its era. My Week with Marilyn Is a descent drama based on the books of Clark which exemplifies the personality of one of the most recognized female artists in show biz and her human side.
