Pirates of Silicon Valley review

Before Social Network, there was this movie about two guys who encountered each other from their college days. A made for TV film about the accurate history of Steve Jobs (Noah Wyle) and Bill Gates (Anthony Michael Hall) which is more enjoyable than The Social Network. A lot of people would be surprised about the revelations of some industry secrets before Microsoft and Apple got big. Gates is aided by Paul Allen (Josh Hopkins) while Jobs has the patient and loyal Steve Wozniak (Joey Slotnick). Soundtrack was perfect for each era, performances believable even commended by the late Jobs. Surprisingly funny and historical. Screenplay was fantastic with lines: Jobs - "Good artists copy, great artists steal." "We're here to make a dent in the universe. Otherwise, why even be here? We're creating a completely new consciousness, like an artist or a poet." "People need a cause." and Gates - "So we can get you an operating system." "Success is a menace. It fools smart people into thinking they can't lose." Pirates of Silicon Valley not only represents two vital tech icons, but also friendships, ideas, dreams, betrayals and business ethics. Definitely worth a look for those enthused with biographical films with humor and history.
