S. Darko review
Daniel Corleone - wrote on 10/11/12
Not sure why a cult classic gets tampered, which is saddening since most first films are always better. A very huge departure from the greatness of Donnie Darko and its director definitely had no control over this unfortunate sequel which focuses on Samantha Darko (Chase) and friend Corey (Evigan). Unlikable characters, MTV-like sequences, very unoriginal premise, pace was dreadful and plot just uninteresting. Only thing worth seeing are the subliminal plot and special effects. This is not even half close to its predecessor. It's baffling how this film was made without knowledge form the director of Donnie Darko. In any-case, it still didn't deliver in almost all aspects. S. Darko tries to introduce to newer audiences about the previous cult film, but fails miserably from the dialogues, acting and direction.
