National Lampoon's Vacation review
Daniel Corleone - wrote on 10/20/12
Clark Griswold (Chase) with wife Ellen (D'Angelo) and children Rusty and Audrey (Hall and Barron) plans on going to "Walley World." Several unfortunate events befall the family along the way. The humor was spot on and Chevy Chase was earnest and fantastic in his role. The soubdtrack and some scenes felt dated. This consisted of a good cast with a young Hall, Levy, and more. Screenplay was interesting with lines: Ellen Griswold - "No. But with every new day there's fresh hope." Clark - "We watch his program... We buy his toys, we go to his movies... he owes us. Doesn't he owe us, huh?" "Honey, I'm not an ordained minister; I'm doing my best." National Lampoon's Vacation is a laughable picture about persistence, loyalty and love of family despite through hardships.
