Three Colors: Blue review

"I have no home anymore." The husband of Julie (Juliette Binoche) dies in an automobile accident together with her daughter. She views the funeral of her daughter and significant other who was a popular composer. She grieves and feels lonely so she invites Olivier (Benoît Régent) to her place. A stranger named Antoine gives her a call about an item from the accident. Lucille (Charlotte Véry) and Julie becomes friends.
Performance of Juliette Binoche was just mesmerizing and real. The screenplay was well written with lines: "I'm like every woman..you won't miss me." "That's not my problem." from Julie and "You always got to hold onto something" from the lying man on the street. The gorgeous score plays a huge part of the picture to keep the story moving and shows symbolism of the past and present. It's main intent is to exhibit independence, dealing with death, acceptance, loneliness, generosity, reminiscing and moving on. Direction and cinematography just utilizes our senses. Compared to white, the color blue was more emphasized here. Three Colors: Blue is a powerful and beautiful picture worth seeing at least once.
