Admission review

Princeton University admissions officer Portia (Tina Fey) meets a sympathetic John Pressman (Paul Rudd). He highly recommends a special student named Jeremiah Balakian (Nat Wolff). The love angle felt rushed the the overall premise just too impossible to happen. It has some heartfelt moments about giving chances and searching for the "truth" the conclusion just seems incomplete in a way after all Portia has gone though. The build-up for the theory of John if Jeremiah was just wasted and had no real evidence. Not enough to make it funny and just not a convincing romance between the leads. Fey and Rudd had onscreen chemistry and the soundtrack was fair. Overall, an average rom-com worth viewing just to see how admission department of an ivy school works and how they deliberate their.
