White House Down review
Daniel Corleone - wrote on 08/12/13
John Cale (Channing Tatum) protects U.S. President James Sawyer (Jamie Foxx) after the White House was attacked. From the first 30 minutes of the film one has to just go with the ludicrous flow. Everything felt silly and Hollywood because of the tandem of John and the so called President. Much like Olympus Has Fallen, it felt like a Die Hard copycat mixed with Air Force One premises. The action sequences were a pretty sight but the awful screenplay/dialogue was just too obvious. The facts about the White House were mildly entertaining and seeing Jamie Foxx as the President is worth viewing. The character background for the antagonist were rushed and the coincidences were so unlikely to happen. Worth viewing if your a popcorn action flick type of person.
