Bride of Frankenstein review
Daniel Corleone - wrote on 10/03/13
In this picture we see what happens to Frankenstein. The over acting of certain background characters were evident and we only see a glimpse of the Bride of Frankenstein. The build-up was not enough and the conclusion seems rushed much like the first. Screenplay was effective with so many quotable lines: "We must work together." "Creation of life is enthralling." "Your welcome my friend whoever you are." "It is bad to be alone...friend good." "There is good and there is bad." "The human heart is the most complex part of the body." A lot of symbolism's were made by critics, for this reviewer, thematics of creation, having compassion of the heart, beating loneliness; friendship and acceptance/alienation were portrayed to perfection. Bride of Frankenstein could have been great, not better than its predecessor though. If only the original was meshed with this one, it would have been an epic monster flick for the ages.
