Even though I don't like westerns, I still try to give them a chance. This movie seemed to have all of Sergio Leone's trademarks. It was slightly amusing, but most of all I just don't get it or care. It is too bad.

A classic Sergio Leone western with detailed performance from the offbeat casting of Rod Steiger as a Mexican bandit and the always affable James Coburn as an explosives expert who join up together to rob a bank. Terrific sequences, stylish Ennio Morricone music. Also known as A Fistful of Dynamite. Final Grade: A-

Awesome movie. Coburn and Steiger are both top notch in this masterpiece about the revolution. Beautiful, beautiful movie with Morricone's fabulous score (as usual). It's flawed, but it has heart. Make sure you watch the uncut version.

Leone's worst movie that does not take anything good away from his other western masterpieces. Needless to say, I was disappointed. It started with the 70's music (how could he get away from Morricnoe?) and ended with a flop. Not good.
