It should be noted that this a TV pilot and not a bona fide feature film, which in itself is disappointing. It might have helped if it had been any good but that's far from the case. The usually reliable Johnnie To turns in a very lacklustre, formulaic film. The Triad members with their silly names come across as ridiculous and the story, the pursuit of a baton, is really lame. Abstain from this one.
