Not so sweet but very sour
Jess Franco's take on the evil Chinaman is more salacious than the usual schoolboy comic stuff. Half naked girls in chains was enough to raise the censor's ire in many countries, but this unrated version appears very tame now. When I say this is the best in the series you have to see some of the others to realise this is not as complimentary as it sounds. It's stylishly made and Christopher Lee sounds like someone into world domination, though it's his sexy daughter Tsai Chin who whips everyone into shape. Literally.

The Departed Review comment
Seems you have more of a problem with its differences with the first film than anything else. Perhaps a fresh viewing without the original in mind will do this justice. Or not.
