A feel-good romantic comedy!

50 First Dates" is about a guy named Henry Roth (played by Adam Sandler) who’s got it all, a good job, great friends and the skills to winning any girl he wants. Problem is; he's afraid of commitment. He meets a girl, scores and then makes an excuse to break up with them. Then, one day, he meets Lucy and they hit it off. Henry believes he has found the girl he can finally settle down with. The problem is she's got short-term memory loss that lasts about 24 hours and everyday she forgets she ever met Henry.
So now Henry must devise a way to make Lucy remember him and win her over every single day which he does by initiating a series of wild and imaginative stunts. The premise is unrealistic, obviously, but the characters are so colorful and likable that you are willing to suspend …

Cute, but it's hard to believe

"Henry Roth" (Adam Sandler) meets the girl of his dreams (Drew Barrymore), but she doesn't remember meeting him over-and-over due to a head injury that has destroyed her short-term memory. He falls madly in love with her and gets her family and friends to realize how wrong they are in keeping her reliving the last day she remembers over and over again.
This movie is a unbelievable love story with a few laughs. To the best of my knowledge, there is no documented cases of people who lose their memory when they go to bed every night.
The only ones who have any character development are Sandler's and Barrymore's. All the others are just there for the most part to advance the amnesia plot. You would think that they would have tried to help her regain her memory instead of a stranger …
