Wow. I haven't been this dissapointed with an superhero film since Spiderman 3. But hey, even Spiderman 3 is looking better by comparison.

Almost as good as the first. It had great action, I thought the story was better than what other people thought, and it is definitely the best movie of the year so far. Go watch it.

It sucks compared to the first one as most expected. Robert Downey Jr. isn't as good of a Tony Stark as he is in the predecessor, there weren't that many fight or action scenes in the movie, and the whole time it's just robert downey and gwyneth paltrow fighting like an old married couple. The fight scene at the end didn't even last that long, and they didn't even show everything that the War Machine can do. The best part of the whole movie is when Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury talked to him at the donut shop. That was the only real acting/drama that was enticing.

The plot feels overstuffed and stitched together from many different pieces. Many new characters were coming in and out, without much purpose it seemed. The villain, in particular, suffers from lack of attention. There's also less action than the first and the action that is present is over with and done so quickly that there really isn't anything to get excited about. The best part of the film is the continuation of Stark and Pepper's relationship. It's still entertaining and a decent watch, just underwhelming for being a sequel.

I liked this movie a lot. The suitcase suit was freaking awesome. My complaint is that he didn't wear it in more of the movie. Jon Favreau returning as the body-guard was delightful. I think there might have been too many characters in the movie. Scarlett Johansson seemed to be there really only as eye candy. Mickey Rourke and Sam Rockwell, really? Can't we pick one bad guy? Sam Rockwell describing the bullet, was perhaps one of my favorite parts. The end seemed a little rushed, but that could have been cause they realized how long the movie was at that point.

I feel some reviewers may be expecting to much from this movie. It is silly, but I would argue that it actually has a pretty good plot for a action movie. Robert Downey Jr. is fantastic again as the frustratingly charming Tony Stark. Gwyneth Paltrow surprised me again as I feel Pepper is actually a very different character for her. I like having more Nick Fury in this movie. Sam Rockwell stole most of his scenes and I felt they did a really good job with the small details of this character. Once again, Iron Man is a funny and entertaining movie filled with good action and graphics.

A worthy sequel in the Iron Man franchise. While the story does lack some originality, fans of the first Iron Man should enjoy this as well. As is typical in superhero sequels, here our hero has lost his way and has to be pointed in the right direction again to serve the greater good. A minor complaint with Sam Rockwell's character, who was allowed to chew way too much scenery that got pretty annoying very quickly. Mickey Rourke and Scarlett Johanssen are great additions to the cast. There are lots of great action sequences, a deepening of the plot between Tony Stark and Pepper Potts, and a great Easter egg after the credits which should please Avengers fans everywhere.

Haven't seen the first part at cinema for the same reason I haven't seen Bourne Identity- "Hm? M. Damon as secret agent?" = "RD Jr as a superhero?" Also... "iron man?" dude. I can take spider, bat, super... iron? :0/ Anyway. Glad I saw it on dvd, and it was great, I was lookfing forward for this crap. The flick is ok, but it has some problems of detail. I'd re-do the cars race scene, the trial look a like scene... A couple of more things. The flick will be great for hardcore fans, but it's only "cool" simply because RD Jr is like the man. Also Mickey Mou..., I mean, Rourke.

The first movie is over-rated in my opinion. Sure the effects are well done, and Downey Jr is always likeable but that doens't make a good film. The sequel however, is even worse. It has potential, Mickey Rourke looks awesome as Whiplash but he's hardly even involved in the whole film, instead its meandering chatter about self-discovery and father-son relationships stop the film dead. Director Jon Favreau is not a director, the film has no style whatsoever and having 3 action scenes in a comic book movie just isn't good enough.
