The story is about a team of archaeologists in the antarctic stumble upon old ruins. While they explore they realize that they are not alone and in the middle of a battle tradition that is older than the human race itself. This movie has awful CGI and acting but the fight with the alien and the predator are awesome.

The human casts and the character of Alexa was never engaging. Its set designs and special effects were sensational, if only the action, soundtrack and screenplay could have been closely spectacular. An attempt to revitalize 2 franchise perhaps, this typical popcorn flick boasts its quantity over substance. AVP: Alien Vs. Predator is a prime example of how to cash in with the aid of CGI while leaving the audiences amazed instead of shocked while not caring about the other characters aside from the Aliens and Predators.

The film follows a team of archaeologists assembled by billionaire Charles Bishop Weyland (Henriksen) for an expedition near the Antarctic to investigate a mysterious heat signal. Weyland hopes to claim the find for himself, and his group discovers a pyramid below the surface of a whaling station. Hieroglyphs and sculptures reveal that the pyramid is a hunting ground for Predators who kill Aliens as a rite of passage. The humans are caught in the middle of a battle between the two species and attempt to prevent the Aliens from reaching the surface. What a piece of crap! This movie goe beyond on how a project can be ridiculous .

oneof the worst films I have ever seen.they dare call this film "alien vs predator". hell, this film is pg-13,where the hell do you get the fun in that?.this film was soo bad in soooo many ways.the dialogue, the acting, the characters, the plot, the setting, the style of the film, everythin about this film didn't feel nothing like "predator" or "alien".Paul W.S. Anderson creates yet another bad film.

Lacks the pure terror of the Alien series and the adrenaline-fueled spectacle of the Predator series. Probably crafted for fanboys and there are a very few nods to the previous films, but, as a science fiction or action film, it fails completely.

It's Paul W.S. Anderson, so if you've seen the Resident Evil movies you know what to expect. This was an average action flick that just happened to have two of the greatest, most beloved sci-fi horror aliens. It doesn't match up to either of the franchises that these monsters hail from, but it does bring them together in a believable way. The rest of the movie is standard stuff. Not boring, but still wasted potential. The PG-13 rating didn't help matters out at all. Fans will find some things to like and also be disappointed by. Could've been worse, but also could've been a whole lot better.

Better than I would have thought, but not good enough. A few intense moments can't save this from being a mostly money-minded idea to bring fan boys into the theater.

I hate how movie studios can throw two good movies together to make more money. The idea behind it is not a bad one but the people behind it are. There is a point where it becomes too ridiculous for even Alien and Predator fans. Stay away.
